Space Station China Is Poised To 1,000 Science Experiments

China launched the core of the station space port in April and sent three astronauts in June. Although the space station it might not be ready until the end of 2022, the proposal of the experiment from all over the world are already lining up long.

To Nature, scientists in China said that China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) for a while has approved more than 1,000 experiments, some of which have been launched. Tiangong (Chinese language to the heavenly palace)—the name of the space station of China—has been welcomed by many researchers to conduct experiments in outer space.

Earlier, the International Space Station (ISS) is the only laboratory orbiting space. The researchers say, Tiangong is additional to the astronomical observations and Earth. In addition to learn how to style the weight of the micro and cosmic radiation affects the phenomenon of bacterial growth and mixing of the liquid.

However, others argue that the station manned space it’s expensive, and more political than scientific. “Increased access to scientific to the space is the scientific benefits globally, no matter who build and operate the platform,” said Julie Robinson, Chief Scientist for human exploration and operations at the Headquarters, NASA in Washington DC.

Agnieszka Pollo, an astrophysicist at the Center for Nuclear Research of the National in Warsaw, is part of the team that participated send experiments. He said that the space station is clearly not enough so we need more space stations.

The ISS was launched in 1998, as a partnership between the space agency of the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan and Canada. The ISS has to accommodate more than 3,000 experiments since that time. But, China was prohibited from doing so because the rules of the U.S. that prohibits NASA use the funds for collaboration with China.

On the other hand, China declared the remains will be open to the collaboration of all countries, including the US. Although most of the experiments scheduled for the Tiangong will involve researchers in China.

According to Tricia Larose, a medical researcher at Oslo University, the space station has been offering new facilities, and the Chinese push an experiment that has never been done in space before. “They say, yeah, wake up your hardware, do something that has never been done before, and send it to us,” he said.

In June 2019, CMSA and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), which promotes collaboration in space have chosen nine experiments, in addition to than 1,000 experiments while has been approved in China. The research, said the director of UNOOSA, Simonetta Di Pippo, involving 23 institutions in 17 countries.

Zhang Shuang-Nan, an astrophysicist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Institute of High Energy Physics in Beijing said, although most of the projects approved so far led by researchers in China, many of which have international collaborators.

Science Mission Tiangong

Previously, China has launched two space laboratory, the Tiangong 1 and Tiangong 2. Both have become host to more than 100 experiments, around the Earth for several years, but no longer diorbitkan.

The first part of the Tiangong who arrived is the core module which is known as Tianhe (Chinese language to the harmony of heaven). At the end of May, a cargo ship named Tianzhou-2 (language China to ship heavenly) sent and anchored to send fuel, the space suits, and equipment experimental.

Then, in June, three astronauts China called Taikonoauts, sent using the Shenzhou-12 (Chinese language to ship the divine), entered the room along the 17 meter, which would be their home for the next three months.

Up to one year to the next, CMSA will send eight more missions to Tiangong. The two will send module Wentian (Chinese language for search of heaven) and Mengtian (Chinese language for dreaming of heaven), most of which will accommodate a scientific expe
